The article also describes studies on combining the process of ion-liquid extraction with an oxidative purification method. The present review considers the results of studies of extractive purification of various oil fractions using both traditional and "green" solvents - ionic liquids as an extractant providing for the effectiveness of ion-liquid extraction purification. At the same time, special attention is paid to the content of aromatic hydrocarbons, sulfur-containing and resinous compounds in their composition. The point is that the development of technology and rise in the consumption of fuels and oils calls for tightening of requirements to their quality characteristics. The extraction purification process is currently being intensively studied and has a great future as an alternative method of purification of petroleum fractions.
